Tizen 2.3 SDK Available for Download

Good News! The Tizen SDK 2.3 is now available for download, the new update has some new improvements, bug fixes. Additional changes has been made also on the native API such as primary development language for native applications has changed from C++ to C.

The new Tizen 2.3 SDK also added some additional features for the Wearable Web Device APIs and more. See some of the highlights below of the Tizen 2.3 SDK.
Highlights of this release include, among other improvements:
  • Integrated SDK based on multi-device profiles: support both mobile devices and wearable devices with single SDK.
  • New native APIs for native applications, replacing the previous Tizen 2.2.1 Native API.
  • Extended web device APIs such as human activity monitor APIs, sensor APIs, etc.
  • Performance enhanced Web UI framework (jQM a pure JS).
  • Enhanced Dynamic Analyzer to help finding performance bottleneck, bugs, and the other holes via precisely monitoring your app’s execution.

VLC media player supports a huge range of audio and video file formats, codecs and streaming protocols, so this is a great addition to the Tizen app ecosystem.
