When the Gear S2 first launched, one of the apps that Samsung showed off was the KLM Flight app which unfortunately was not available when it came to release day. Well, now the app has been released on the Tizen Store and can be accessed using the Gear Manager app on your compatible handset. The app has some useful features for some of us that spend a fair bit of time in the sky. You can check your Flight status, Fying blue points (loyalty miles), flight time remaining, Display boarding pass, and Flight gate details. Exactly the type of things us travellers need. Samsung Electronics has announced that Samsung Pay, their mobile payment solution, now supports 50 popular merchant gift cards in a new gift card store. Samsung Pay is currently the most accepted mobile payment system as it works with newer NFC payment terminals and also older MST technologies. The only Tizen device at present that will support Samsung pay, in early 2016, is the Gear S2 which supports NFC method of payment. Samsung Pay allows you to purchase, store, pay with, and share gift cards right from your Samsung phone. The Samsung Z3, model number SM-Z300H, will hopefully be with us soon following Information spotted at the FCC and its Bluetooth certification. But there is another model number that we can’t shake, the SM-Z300F that Samsung has been testing for a while now. The device is listed as SM-Z300F_CIS_SER, which could indicate it as being part of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which is also known as the Russian common wealth. The Russians, with Samsung’s collaboration, are looking at adopting Tizen as a secure operating system for the Government. Tizen is seen as a better OS for this purpose as Samsung has already provided the Russians with the full source code and target devices that they will be using. The fact that the Tizen platform is compatible with a number of web applications makes it a much sought after operating system in the present day where you will find web applications galore. It is basically a Linux based OS and has found extensive usage in smart television, smartphones, and tablets aside from the IVIs or the so called devices that support in-vehicle infotainment. New screenshots of Samsung's Tizen 2.3 have surfaced, courtesy of  Tizen Indonesia . The latest version of Tizen OS looks a lot more colorful than before with updated icons. Samsung has also used bold color choices throughout the user interface. Unsurprisingly, blue is still the main color of choice, but in addition there's also a lot of extra throughout the UI. Take a look at the screenshots below and judge for yourself. Samsung has optimized the user experience for screen resolutions starting at 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA). The low-end device that the company has been hinting to launch by the end of the year will probably sport this resolution. It looks like we will be getting the first Tizen Smartphone being released  VERY  soon, as a dual SIM Samsung SM-Z130H/DS, which is Samsung’s first budget Tizen Smartphone, has just been listed as undergoing certification at the FCC. Generally speaking devices do tend to be launched / released soon after FCC approval. It was announced that we could get a  Tizen Smartphone in India for November , so this maybe the prophecy coming true. The FCC filing is under FCC ID “A3LSMZ130H” for the Samsung SM-Z130H, a dual-sim smart phone. We can see that the Smartphone supports GSM 850/1900, Wi-fi 802.11b and Bluetooth, which covers the SAR bands it is getting tested under. The Samsung SM-Z130H measures 103mm height and 51mm width. There has been a Zauba listing for a 4″ screen variant, which this seems to be. We have previously covered the rumouredspecifications for the SM-Z130H device for all that are interested. The XML files for the User Agent Profile (UAProf) of the Tizen based SM-Z130H have appeared on Samsung’s website site via  Samsung Mobile wapsite  . We can now see credible confirmation of some of the specifications. The upcoming budget Smartphone will be running Tizen OS 2.3, 480 x 800 screen resolution, with a ARMv7 32-bit CPU running at 1.2 GHz. The included browser (Samsung Browser version 2.0.34) should be able to take advantage of Tizen’s best in class browser, enabling rich multimedia and video streaming possibilities. Over the last few months there has been a steady leak of information regarding Samsung’s upcoming Tizen based budget Smartphone  SM-Z130H , and now courtesy of a system dump our friends at Sammobile have been able to extract some information and screenshots. We have pictures of icons, lockscreen themes, and the default wallpaper. The lockscreen present you with the current weather, clock, date and a flat look, which looks refreshingly different from the Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop.
